How we stack up

$79 isn't the cheapest. It's the best.

Rosie undercuts us at $49 — for 50 minutes and a robotic voice. Goodcall sits at $99 with no Portuguese. Smith.ai charges $255 to start. Here's what an owner-operator actually gets across the field.

Translation: Rosie wins on raw price if you take 50 calls a month and don't care how Margo sounds. Smith.ai wins on white-glove if you have a $300 budget. We win on everything in between — and we're the only one under $300/mo that answers in Portuguese.

Pricing FAQ

Straight answers,
no asterisks.

What counts as a 'minute'?

Only minutes Margo actually spends on a live call — measured from answer to hangup, rounded up to the nearest 6 seconds. Voicemails she doesn't answer, abandoned calls, and SMS conversations don't count.

What happens if I go over my included minutes?

Overage is $0.15/min on every tier — no surprise jumps. We email you at 80% and 100% of your monthly pool. You can upgrade tiers anytime and we prorate.

Why do you make me do a test call before charging me?

Because every other AI receptionist sounds like a robot and we'd rather you walk away than refund you later. After signup you configure your shop, then call your forwarded line and hear Margo answer as your business. Only after you approve does your card get charged. If she doesn't sound human, you owe nothing.

Is Brazilian Portuguese really included on the $79 plan?

Yes. English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese on every tier including Solo. Auto-detect with silent switching — no "press 2 for Spanish." Most competitors charge $200+/mo for Spanish and don't offer PT-BR at any price. We include both because half our beachhead market in MA and FL takes calls in Portuguese every day.

Do I have to change my published phone number?

No. You keep your number. We give you a Twilio number and you set your existing line to forward to it on no-answer, busy, or after-hours. Your customers see the same caller ID they always have. Porting your number is on the roadmap but never required.

How many calls can Margo handle at once?

Unlimited concurrent calls. Even on the $79 Solo tier she can answer five callers at the same time without busy signals. The soft cap is the monthly minute pool, not concurrency.

How long does setup take?

Most shops are live the same day. Voice answering works as soon as you forward your line. SMS follow-up needs carrier registration (10DLC) which typically clears in 24–72 hours — we file it for you on day one and you'll see SMS go live automatically once it's approved.

Is SMS follow-up really included?

Yes — every answered call triggers an outbound text from your business number with a confirmation, directions, or booking link. Unlimited transactional SMS to callers is included on every plan. Marketing blasts are not (and would violate TCPA).

What's the difference between Growth and Solo?

Solo ($79) gets you Margo with our library voices (Sarah or Brian) and 300 minutes. Growth ($149) adds instant voice cloning so Margo can sound like you, native calendar booking with warm transfer, caller-ID recognition (greet returning customers by name), MMS photo handling, and 1,500 minutes.

What's included in Managed?

Managed ($299) adds a professional studio voice clone, Concierge mode (proactive no-show follow-up, review nudges, quote follow-ups), HIPAA-aware mode for medical/dental, GarageDesk integration for shops, all 32 supported languages, and priority support. 5,000 minutes.

Is there a contract?

Month-to-month. No setup fees, no annual commitment. Cancel anytime — we'll release your number or help you port it out.

SMS compliance

STOP, opt-outs, and what we'll never text.

Every first text includes "Reply STOP to opt out."

When a caller replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, the carrier blocks future messages instantly and we flag the caller as opted-out across every template. HELP returns your business name and a contact line. Both are required by CTIA and 10DLC carrier rules.

"Transactional" means a direct response to that call.

Booking confirmations, reminders, callback notices, quote follow-ups, and directions tied to a specific call — all transactional and unlimited. What's not covered: marketing blasts, promotional offers, or bulk review requests. That's marketing under TCPA and needs separate written consent — Margo won't send it.

Quiet hours are enforced.

No outbound SMS between 9 PM and 8 AM in the caller's local timezone, per TCPA. After-hours callers still get an immediate auto-reply because they initiated the conversation — that's allowed.

A2P 10DLC keeps you out of the spam folder.

Every text goes from your registered business brand and campaign — not a shared shortcode or recycled long code. That's why deliverability holds above 95% and your texts don't get filtered by major carriers.

What your callers actually receive

Real texts, sent automatically.

Every answered call ends with a text from your business number. Margo picks the template based on how the call ended — booking, message, after-hours, or quote request.
